Taylor Gadbois: Turning Heads

Taylor Gadbois is a new name to those who follow recruiting. The East Paulding, Georgia offensive lineman has returned to the gridiron for his senior season of high school football and has picked up five offers. Other schools are also beginning to take notice.

Profile - Taylor Gadbois

Size is not a problem for the basketball and football recruit. "I am 6' 8"- 285 and my coach hasn't told me my forty time but I seem to remember running one around 4.9 or maybe a little lower, like maybe 4.8 or 4.7."

Gadbois is currently playing tackle on both ends of the offensive line for East Paulding. The offers are starting to come in for Gadbois. "I have offers from Georgia Tech, Troy, Middle Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois State."

Georgia Tech was the most recent school to offer. "Coach (Paul) Johnson called and offered me," said Gadbois. "I thought that was pretty cool and felt it meant he really wanted me at Georgia Tech."

Gadbois has been a fan of Georgia Tech. "I am 6'8" and it makes it hard to block in their offense but I'm not saying that rules them out and in fact I could handle it." Gadbois is open to all schools. "I like Georgia Tech a lot, Miami, South Carolina, and North Carolina State." Georgia Tech is the only school in that group that has been recruiting him. "Georgia Tech is the school that is recruiting me harder than any other school right now."

Taylor didn't play football in his junior year but doesn't feel taking that year off has hurt him. "My coach told me that he wanted me to take the year off to get back to where I was playing earlier in my football career." The year off helped Gadbois handle things with more maturity. "It helped me get stronger and more focused as a player and really helped me to put my team first before me as a player." Gadbois feels that his coach's move was a wise one. Gadbois has not made any plans for official visits. Right now he's more worried about helping the 5-2 East Paulding team make the playoffs. "I'm trying to do as well as I can in my senior year."
