Raphael Kirby made the short trip to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Miami game and liked what he saw. "It was my first time on campus," said Kirby. "It's areally nice environment and I enjoyed being around the team."
The trip to Georgia Tech was not Kirby's first college game day visit this season. "I've been to Georgia and Vanderbilt two times and Auburn once." Kirby also traveled to Knoxville to visit Tennessee this past summer. The visit to Georgia Tech will be the last one of the season for Kirby.
Kirby has not received a verbal offer but feels one could be coming soon. "Vanderbilt is recruiting me the hardest."
When the time comes for Kirby to put his signature on a letter of intent, Kirby won't have any problems qualifying. "I'm making all A's and B's and I have a 3.2 GPA."
Even though his season is over at Parkview, Kirby will still have a chance to play in one more game. "I will be playing in the first Georgia Junior All-Star game." The game will be held in mid-January in DeKalb County.
When spring rolls around, Kirby has plans to attend some of the combines and college camps. He doesn't have any definite plans at this time.
