Josh Richardson first began to get noticed when he played in the Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina this past July. He showed his athletic ability going toward the rim. Richardson likes to attack the rim. He has been working on developing his jump shot.
Richardson made the trip to Atlanta this past weekend for an official visit to Georgia Tech. Part of his trip included watching Georgia Tech play Miami in the final game at the historic Thrillerdome on Georgia Tech's campus. "I enjoyed it and the atmosphere was good. The weekend was very informative one and Richardson liked what he saw at Georgia Tech.
Coach Daryl Labarrie hosted Richardson and the two of them had a chance to spend some time together. "Coach showed me around and we had a chance to talk."
Richardson has recently received an offer from Georgia Tech which put them in the mix for his commitment. "Missouri State, Providence, TCU, and Wichita State are also in the mix."
The visit to Georgia Tech was the first visit for Josh. "I haven't been to any other schools but I plan to take some visits after the state tournament. I'm just not sure when."
Richardson doesn't appear to be in any rush to make his decision. The next signing period begins in April and Josh just might wait until then to make his decision. When asked when he might make that decision, Josh responded, "Not really." Josh will be getting help from his parents when he does make the decision.
When the time comes that Josh feels he's ready to make the decision, he'll be looking for a school where he feels at home and he'll also be looking at the atmosphere at the school.
