Kyle Williams is a junior at Parkview High School, and while he's yet to receive his first offer, he has received information from Georgia Tech. Coach Todd Spencer has reached out to Williams in the past, and he has gotten letters from the school.
"I've been looking at them since I was little," Williams said.
Having visited GT for a leadership program as well as attending two games this season, Williams feels he'd beginning to get a feel for the campus, and that may be an obstacle to overcome for the coaching staff if they want to land the junior in the class of 2013.
"I'm worried the campus is too big for me," Williams said. He added that he's unsure of the location of a campus in a big city, and isn't sure if that will fit him best.
But he added that he thinks the program is on the right track as a whole, and that is a positive. Having watched the defense, Williams thinks he'd fit well in a college 3-4 defense and saw similarities between his game and that of Jeremiah Attaochu.
But he's waiting on the offers to come in, and until then, he's going to focus on being the best teammate he can be at Parkview.
"I've just been rippin' and runnin' lately, getting into the weight room and getting better," Williams said.
As for the next step, Williams said he will continue to listen to coaches as they call and will be focused on a winning senior season.
"I just want to work hard this spring and hopefully win the state championship," Williams said. "We have a lot of guys coming back next season."
