White was originally scheduled to visit Clemson and South Carolina this weekend. "I felt I needed to stop by Georgia Tech after Coach Kelly had asked me to come to the spring game and I couldn't make it."

Coach Kelly gave Marquez a tour of the campus and the football facilities. White enjoyed the time he spent with Coach Kelly. "He is down to earth and very passionate about his job."

White was impressed by the players that Kelly had coached that are in the NFL. "He showed me how he develops players and gets the best out of them. I really, really hit it off with Coach Kelly."

Marquez is looking for a strong relationship with the coach at the school he chooses. "That will probably be the main thing in choosing where I go to school." His relationship with Kelly and the football history at Georgia Tech opened his eyes about the way he now perceives Georgia Tech.

Prior to the visit White had a top five but the visit changed that. The visit moved Tech up high on White's list. "This trip made me see myself possibly becoming a Yellow Jacket."

White has now decided to give every school a chance. He will now make his decision closer to signing day. "I'd like to take my five official trips in the fall so I can get a better look at the schools I like the most."

A trip to Tennessee in two weeks is the only visit that White has scheduled right now. "Coach Kelly is coming to my school this Friday. Following his academic evaluation, look for Georgia Tech to extend a verbal offer to White on Kelly's visit.
