2014 Standout Taking Unofficial To Mizzou

One of the top football prospects from the Western side of the state in the 2014 football class will be making an unofficial visit to see the Missouri Tigers final 2012 home game against Syracuse.

Missouri Tigers recently picked up a verbal commitment from one of the top running back prospects, and overall players in the state, for the class of 2014. That has not affected another top running back in the 2014 class from in-state from being very interested in the Tigers.

Brock Broughton 5'11" 190 4.53 forty, who ran for 1,595 yards and 20 TDs to go along with over 200 yards receiving and 5 more score for the Bulldogs, spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com recently about the early happenings with his recruitment, including where things with Mizzou were at.

"I am going to Missouri for the Syracuse game,"said Broughton. "I really like Missouri. I am interested to see were I fit in their plans. They want me to come down and check the program out. I know they just signed a 2014 RB, which is great, and I expect them to sign other back. I'm ok with competition."

Broughton recently made an unofficial visit to Kansas State, and he came away very impressed. He seems eager to be able to compare the Missouri unofficial visit to what he experienced in Manhattan.

". I am interested to see if I walk away from Missouri feeling like I did at K-State. I really liked K-State and I would say Missouri is there too because I would love to go somewhere that is close to home and my parents could make it to games with easy travel,"said Broughton, who then added."But my parents told me don't base were I went over them. They will be there no matter were I play & want me to be happy with the school."

Brock currently has a top two schools that he favors, but he has visited a third school, and other visits are planned in the future.

"I did go to Tulsa a few weeks ago on their homecoming vs Rice and it was a great time. Liked what I saw there too. We are planning a trip to Georgia and Georgia Tech this summer. I like them two schools too. They are showing some interest. Really just waiting to see what happens next. Right now it is K-State & Mizzou. But, I'm  still open to others," said Broughton.

Brock, who grew up in Ohio watching Big 10 football, told me that over the past few years of being in Missouri that he has fallen in love with Big 12 football that KState and Mizzou have played, but that Missouri being in the SEC is a big plus with them.

ShowMeMizzou.com will keep you up to date regarding Brock Broughton's unofficial visit to Missouri, and his recruitment over the next year.
