We talked to Step's dad about the family trip to Atlanta. He described the trip as very enjoyable. "Step's grandmother made the trip with us and the coaches at Georgia Tech treated her so nice. She loved it there more this time than last. We all had a great time."
In spite of a large number of visitors, Step still had a chance to talk to the coaches, players, and recruits. "When we got there we found out that there were a large list of recruits there because it was senior day."
The coaches at Georgia Tech took the time to meet with Step. "That really made him feel special and wanted by the Tech coaching staff."
One of the coaches that met with Step was head coach Paul Johnson. "He wanted to make sure that Step was interested in coming to Georgia Tech." Coach Johnson let Step know that they were retooling the defense and that Step could make an immediate impact to the retooling process.
Step liked what Johnson told him about his possible role in their defense. "Step told me that he could see that the defense was improving and that he would love to be a part of the retooling."
The visit helped to reinforce Tech as the favorite for Durham's verbal. "Right now if they aren't his top team, they are one of the top teams. He really loves the school and team and feels he can be a part of something real good at Georgia Tech."
