It looks like Georgia Tech is getting a perfect fit in offensive lineman Chris Griffin (Crawfordville, Fla./Wakulla) and he can't wait to get on campus in Atlanta.
"I took a visit there and knew in five minutes that's where I wanted to go to school," Griffin said. "It was kind of love at first sight. I know that the staff is very good and they are the biggest reason why I am going there. I love those guys. It's a family atmosphere."
Griffin is a giant. He stands a little over 6-foot-6 and now weighs 275-pounds.
"I was 230 last year," Griffin said. "I have gotten bigger and there's no telling how big I will be in a few years. Hopefully it will all work out. I think the transition will be a good one. It's the identical [offensive] system to the one we run and I love it."
Griffin was the top offensive linemen in the North-South Florida All-Star Game played last night in Sebring. Aside from his great size, Griffin has great feet and mobility.
"That was a fun week for sure," Griffin said. "It was a different offense then I am used to playing in but I think I picked it up pretty well. It was a great experience."
Griffin is a three-star prospect.
