Allen High on Georgia Tech

Dr. Henry A Wise, Jr. High School, Maryland defensive back Marcus Allen has over twenty offers. The four star recruit wants to visit as many of those schools as possible to see which ones will make his final cut.

Profile - Marcus Allen

Georgia Tech is one of the schools that Marcus recently visited. "Georgia Tech is one of the schools that I am very high on." Allen was impressed with what he saw at the Tech practice. "I loved the flow of the practice and the intensity of the players and coaches."

Allen spent most of the trip with Coach Joe Speed. "We walked around and looked at the facilities." Allen described the weight room and the locker rooms as first class. Marcus also had a chance to see how a Tech degree could set him up for life. "I loved what Coach Speed had to say."

Marcus also taked with new defensive coordinator Ted Roof. "You could tell he is very driven and wants what is best for the players as well as Georgia Tech. I like him a lot."

Tech is looking at Allen at the free safety position. "I could also see time at strong safety or even cornerback." Marcus is willing to play any position that will get him on the field.

Look for Marcus to make a return trip to Tech. "I don't know if it will be for a practice or the spring game, but I will come back to visit Georgia Tech." Ideally, Allen would like to get back for the spring game.

Allen next visit will be to Rutgers on the 6th and he also plans on visiting Arizona. "There are some other schools that I'd like to visit but I'm not sure if I can get them in before we start spring practice."

Marcus is not ready to start naming favorites but he does know that Tech is a school that is up there. "I like what they have to offer and where it is located."

Education and the school's atmosphere will be the top two factors that go into Allen's decision. "I want to get a quality education and be at a school where I like the campus, coaches, other players, and classmates."
