Following the state playoffs, North Gwinnett, Georgia running back C.J. Leggett picked up a new offer. Leggett received a visit from that school earlier in the week and the offer came today as expected.
The offer came today from Georgia Tech. "I talked with Coach (Ted) Roof today and he offered me a scholarship. Leggett received a visit last Thursday from Tech Coach Paul Johnson. "He came by my school and talked with my coach and said that they were very interested in me and would be looking to extend an offer to me." Coach Roof was impressed with Leggett's play in the playoffs.
At 5'10"-210, Leggett could split time between the A and B Back positions in Tech's offense. "I like that idea of not only getting to be a feature running back but also getting to play A-back."
The offer from Tech puts them in Leggett's top two. "Georgia Tech and UCLA are the two schools I will be deciding from." UCLA is looking at C.J.as a tailback.
With signing day getting closer, C.J. is close to making a decision. "I hope to have a decision made in a couple of weeks or so. I will get with my family and coach and see which school is the best choice for me."
Leggett will be looking at academics, how successful the team has been, and how he would fit into their offense. "I definitely want a very good education. I also want to play on a team that is good year in and year out." C.J is also looking to find a school where he feels comfortable. "I want to be a part of what makes the offense a successful one. Add all that up and I will have my school."
