Three-star offensive guard Brandon Kennedy has eclipsed the 20-offer mark. Clemson jumped into the…
Profile - Brandon Kennedy
Kennedy received the offer from Tech defensive line coach Mike Pelton. Coach Pelton made a recent visit to Wetumpka and spent time with Kennedy's coach. "He extended the offer to my coach and said they wanted me at Georgia Tech."
Coach Pelton and the Tech staff liked what they saw from Brandon after watching his film. Coach Pelton let Brandon's coach know that they are only taking three offensive linemen. Tech has one commit and has been looking at three in-state players. "They gave me an offer to let me know they really want me at Tech."
Georgia Tech feels that Kennedy could play center or guard. "I prefer guard but center would also be fine." Brandon currently plays guard and tackle for Wetumpka.
The possibility of playing in Tech's spread option offense is not a deterrent to Kennedy. "I'd love to play on the line there and learn from them." Brandon feels that pass blocking is his strength but he also feels he could be a good run blocker. "I have good feet so it shouldn't be hard to get better at run blocking."
A former Wetumpka player is also encouraging Brandon to come to Tech. "I talk to Jamal Golden and he said going to Tech was easily the best decision he made and he loves it there. He said he would love to see me there."
A decision date has not been determined yet by Brandon. "I want to have a college picked out before my first game of the year. Sometime in late summer would be good." Brandon feels that Tech will be one of the schools that will continue to be involved in his recruitment until he makes that decision.
