Brad received the offer Thursday and it didn’t take him long to reach a decision. "Once I got the offer, I knew I was committing.” It has been Brad’s dream to play for Tech and now he’ll get that chance.

The brothers were at Vanderbilt when offered with Brad going to support his brother Scott. Brad waited on his brother to decide and after they got home they made it official by committing to Tech. “I’m happy Scott is coming in with me."

Georgia Tech Coach Paul Johnson called Brad’s father Thursday to extend the offers. "He told my dad that he was trying to firm up his offensive line and he would wait 24 hours to see what we wanted to do.” When Brad arrived home, they made it official.

Coach Johnson let Brad know that he would be looking at him at guard. There is also a possibility that he could play tackle. "If I had my preference, it would be guard.”

Brad’s parents were excited for him, knowing that Tech was his dream school. When Scott also committed, Brad’s parents were even happier. “They can see us play together and not have to make decisions on which one of us to see every weekend.”

Brad would love to play as a freshman but he realizies that he will probably take a redshirt to hit the weight room and learn the playbook. “It will also give me a chance to get used to college academically."

Now that he has made his college choice, Brad is looking forward to having a great senior season. "I will work even harder now to get better in all phases of my game.” Brad hopes to get prepared as possible for college ball and life. Recommended Stories
