Quarterback Names Leader

Jonathan Garner

Jonathan Garner has had to rearrange his visit schedule once again. One school he had planned to visit is done at quarterback. Garner also has a new leader.

Jonathan Garner has had to rearrange his visit schedule once again. South Carolina added a commitment from Tommy Beecher last week, giving them two quarterbacks. Mychal Belcher had already committed to the Gamecocks earlier. It appears that SC will stop at two. Garner says, "No, I'm not going to go to South Carolina."

Here's how Jonathan says the updated schedule will look, "I'm going to visit Louisville on the 7th. On the 14th I'm going to go see Ole Miss, and on the 21st I'm going to see Georgia Tech."

When asked if he had a favorite at this point, Garner said, "Right now it's probably Georgia Tech." When asked what he liked about GT he stated, "I know the coaches real well. I know Buddy Geis pretty well. And the players, I met a few of them like Kenny Scott & LeShawn Newberry. And it's just a real good school."

Garner doesn't anticipate committing during any of the visits which could indicate he's going to be very sure about his choice. He was previously committed to Florida but they decided to go in a different direction under new coach Urban Meyer. Garner says, "I'm not really going to make a decision until signing day. I might take another visit on the 28th to either Maryland or NC State."
