Tim gave his Tech visit a high rating.
"I rated it a 9, I had fun up there," Atchison said. "I just hung out with the players like other trips but I just liked the coaches up there and the players, they treated me like I was one of them. I had a good time up there."
Tim was hosted by All-America wide receiver Calvin Johnson and he got to spend time with others too.
Tim spent his time with, "Reggie (Ball) and basically the whole team," Atchison said. "I don't know all of their names but I was around most of them the whole time."
Tim listed some of the schools that he's been involved with that have offered.
"All of the ones I just named," Atchison said. "Texas Tech had offered me but they've kind of backed off because, I guess, they filled up the position I'm playing in. Texas A&M has been talking about they might offer me but I'm not sure yet."
Of his top four, Tim did not name a favorite.
"Right now it's really between four of them: Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma State, and Georgia Tech," Atchison said.
Tim is planning on taking more visits but no others are currently scheduled.
"I don't have any scheduled right now," Atchison said. "I probably will end up taking some more visits; I just haven't set any of them up yet."
One of the biggest factors for Tim has been location & distance from home. Getting him away from Texas seemed like a taller order before this past weekend.
"I was looking at location a lot but with Georgia Tech, all the things they had to offer; it made up for the location," Atchison said. "But that's one of the things I was looking at a lot, the location."
So distance is no longer a big factor?
"No so much any more," Atchison said. "I just want to play wherever I go. I want to play early."
The GT coaches gave Tim some advice over the weekend for him to think about.
"They just said that if I'm scared to come in and play early then Tech wasn't the place for me, because if I went down, I would get a chance to come in and play early," Atchison said.
