"I didn't want to waste anybody else's time with the recruiting season if I already knew where I wanted to go. I knew I wanted to go to Tech from the get-go, but I just wanted to be sure and still take my visits. I talked to my family to see what they had to say and all of them wanted me to go to Georgia Tech."
Albert stated he did some soul searching over the weekend that helped him make his decision.
"I'm a very spiritual person and I look to God for most of my decisions. I've been asking God for guidance for the past month to show me signs for which school to pick. I knew which school I wanted to go to, but I was waiting for God to show me where to go so I could be sure."
"We could tell they were genuine people at Tech and it's only 3-1/2 hours away so my family could come to every home game and see me play. If I had gone to South Carolina or Louisville, they wouldn't have been able to make it to every home game. My Mom's my biggest fan and my Dad's right behind her, so it would mean a lot to me for them to make it to every home game."
When asked if he would take any more visits to other schools, Albert stated that he would not, because "I'm 100% sure. I'm a man of my word and Georgia Tech's my team. I promised the coaches and I promised myself I wouldn't visit or commit to any other school. I've made my choice, I'm going to stick with it."
Albert will be in Atlanta this weekend taking in the Miami game and will return to the city on December 9th for an official visit.
Albert plans to major in business management and understands the value of a degree from Georgia Tech. He also understands how important it is to represent Georgia Tech on and off the field. On the field you can expect him "to make a lot of plays." Off the field, Albert declared, "I'm a genuine person, I'm not cocky, I'm not a bad person, and I keep my grades up."
Albert's athleticism and character are what make him the type of player that Georgia Tech expects to build their football team around, and he will make a welcome addition to the Yellow Jackets family. As he fittingly puts it, "You can expect a lot of positive things out of me."
