According to several sources, Cooper Taylor, a safety product out of Marist High School in Atlanta, has decided where he plans to play his college ball. An official announcement should come very soon, possibly be the end of the week. Taylor has offers from Mississippi State, Virginia, Duke, Marshall, and Georgia Tech. In recent weeks, he had narrowed it down to two schools: Virginia and Georgia Tech.

Taylor is the son of former Georgia Tech quarterback Jim Bob Taylor. The decision may have come down to a numbers game. While Georgia Tech has yet to take a safety in its 2008 recruiting class, Virginia has accepted commitments from 2 safeties - Ausar Walcott and Devin Wallace.
