GoJackets.com caught up with Rashaad right after his team's first two-a-day practice. Rashaad said his team is performing well so far and they are looking forward to having a great season this fall. When asked about his current recruiting situation, this is what he had to say:

Reid on each school he has visited:

Vanderbilt - "They had really nice facilities, and a nice campus. Their academics are great too, along with Georgia Tech."

Georgia Tech - "That visit was great. Atlanta is just a good city, and they have a great environment up there. Also, the academics, you can't get any better than them. They are probably recruiting me the hardest right now."

South Florida - "Tampa is a great city. They have good academics, too. I didn't get to see much of the school though, when I camped there."

When asked if he had a favorite:

"Georgia Tech. Atlanta is just a good city, and I got family there. Coach (Buddy) Geis is doing everything right recruiting wise."

Rashaad has been planning on making a commitment at the end of August, but says he probably will before the end of August. He is a teammate of safety prospect Carlton Lewis, who boasts offers from and a top 4 of Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Wake Forest, and South Florida. Rashaad says he and Carlton are friends and that they live down the street from each other. "We have been talking about (playing together in college) for awhile."

GoJackets.com will be closely monitoring these two teammates, as it appears a decision could come soon.
