Jared, how did you visit to Baylor go Sunday afternoon? "It went very well. It was a good visit. I'd have to say it was as good as Georgia Tech's visit."
So, you said you would have a decision by tonight, have you come to a decision?
"Yes sir I have. It was a hard decision to make but I am going to Baylor. After thinking it over last night and having a chance to have friends and family see me play and have a chance to play against my brother at Texas Tech, it pretty much changed my mind from going to Georgia Tech to Baylor."
That must have been hard to make that decision as of last night you felt distance wouldn't be a problem.
"Yes sir, it was difficult but I want to be close to my friends and family, more than I originally thought."
You say your brother plays for Texas Tech, was the Red Raiders ever in your picture?
"They were at first but we both kind of parted ways after my high school season ended."
Is this decision firm?
"Yes sir I feel it is. I haven't called the Georgia tech coaches yet but I will and let them know."
After talking with Jared on Sunday and hearing how excited he was about the Georgia Tech visit, this must have been a real difficult decision. I could tell in his voice that he was struggling to say he wasn't attending Georgia Tech and that he was going to Baylor. We ended our conversation by me wishing him well and that I hope he has a great career at Baylor and that I really enjoyed talking to him. He is a very well spoken young man and well mannered and you can tell he has strong family support.
