Mike Gilliard - Profile
What is on the horizon with your recruiting?
“I am going to Georgia this weekend to take my official visit. I will be leaving tomorrow and be coming back Sunday. I am looking forward to seeing what happens on the official visit.”
Did you get a chance to go to the Georgia Tech-Georgia game?
“Yes sir, I did. I had a good time even though the weather wasn’t the best in the world. “
What did you think of the game?
“It was a great game, both teams played hard and Georgia Tech came out on top. I know one thing, Georgia Tech has one great offense. Jonathan Dwyer and Roddy Jones are great running backs. Dwyer is a beast! It was an exciting game no matter who you were pulling for.”
Have you thought about any other official visits?
“Coach Todd Spencer and Coach Brian Jean-Mary have been talking to me about making an official visit to Georgia Tech. I’m not sure if I will, but I will not rule it out."
What else do you have on your agenda?
“I have some weight lifting events to go and participate in the near future. We have a region qualifying event and if I can win there, I will be able to move on to the state finals at a later date. Right now I don’t think the site for the region event has been set, but I should know very soon.”
Dale's Take:
Mike was his usual self as we joked about football and life in general. He is looking to put a close to his recruitment very soon, and we have set up a time in the future to talk again about both football and his weight lifting and life in general. Mike is one recruit that is very open and honest and a pleasure to talk with.
