How has your recruiting process been going the past few weeks?
"It has been very good for me. I have gone to Georgia Tech and North Carolina State. I went to Tech two weeks ago and to NC State this weekend."
How was the trip to Georgia Tech?
"It went very good. I had a very nice time there. I really enjoyed the campus and talked with my recruiting coach a lot. We talked about me being recruited for the offensive line and how much they liked me as player. Over all, the coaches were very cool. The best part of the trip was their practices. They are very intense and you can see the players really stepping up to work hard for the coaching staff. I'd rate the trip an 8."
How did the North Carolina State trip go for you?
"I really enjoyed my time there. The campus was set up real nice and I got a chance to see the spring game for the Wolfpack. I definitely enjoyed the trip. I got a chance to talk to the coaches and see the campus. I enjoyed the whole thing. I'd rate the trip a 10."
How many offers do you have to date?
"I have around 32 offers from across the country."
Do you have a top five at this point?
"Well, I have a few schools that I really like more than the others but I'd really like to keep that to myself right now so I can go to a school with an open mind."
How about the state schools, Clemson and South Carolina, are they ones you are interested in as a favorite?
"I'll say they are ones of the thirty two that I am looking at. They are up there but as I said, a top list is something I am going to keep to myself at this time. I will say though that I have been narrowing down my list of schools as the spring winds down."
Speaking of the spring, do you have anything else lined up before your high school starts their workouts?
"We are trying to go to Virginia Tech and Tennessee for visits. We have been talking about setting up times to make those two schools."
Do you have anything set up for the summer?
"No sir, not at this time. I don't have any camps or combines set up at this time."
What will be the main factors in making your college decision?
"My relationship with the coaches will be a huge part of my decision. I want to have a good one with all the coaches on the staff. I want a school that has academics that will be something that will carry me later in life. I'd have to like the campus a lot too. I want to fit in at the school and feel at home when I am there on campus. Lastly, I want to be a part of a team that has a great work ethic. A team where the teammates really work together is ideal for me."
When do you think a decision will be in the works for you?
"I'm not really set on a particular time frame but a decision might be sooner than everybody thinks. I'll know when it is time."
A.J. had two very good visits and liked everything about both schools. It seems that NC State was better for A.J. though. He had more to do there, as it was their spring game weekend so that may have played a large part in it being higher on his scale. A.J. is down to a few schools, but he is playing his favorites close to the vest at this time.
Bamburg, South Carolina lineman, A.J. Cann recently visited two ACC schools. One visit was to Georgia Tech and the other was to North Carolina State. A.J. evaluated both visits and gave a hint of when he might announce a decision.
