For Westlake, Georgia linebacker Michael Taylor, May means the start of spring practice. Michael talks about the start of practice and the visits he'll be taking this summer.

Michael Taylor - Profile

How did your spring visits go?

"I had a great time visiting. All the schools are in the mix right now and every school is pretty much even so far. I am looking forward to the summer to visit the schools that have offered and a couple that haven't."

How did your first day of spring practice go today?

"It was okay, the field was real muddy and wet from the rain so we didn't do much. There were a few coaches from colleges there but they left once they found out we wouldn't be running a full practice."

Since you are done visiting schools for the spring, what is on your agenda?

"Nothing but spring practice and getting ready for making summer visits to the colleges I am interested in and have offered me."

Have you set up a visit list for the summer?

"I have. I will be going to Rutgers, Florida, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia Tech, LSU, Georgia, and I have about five other schools that haven't offered me as of now that want me to come see their campus."

What are those other schools?

"I'd rather wait until I decide on which two I will go to before disclosing them."

Are you still looking at the same time frame for making your decision?

"Yes sir, I am. I want to make my decision after my senior year."

Dale's Take:
Michael was anxious to hit the field and was looking forward to getting his high school spring practice started. He knows that a lot of coaches will be at his practices and he is looking forward to seeing them there. As for schools that lead for his services, he says there might be some movement on that front in the very near future.
