Henry Hunter - Profile

How much more time do you have for spring practice?

“We practice three more times this week and next Tuesday we have our spring game. School lets out on June 4th so there will not be much time between the end of spring practice and when summer starts."

How has your recruiting been this spring?

"Oh, it has been very good, especially the past few weeks. I've noticed that a lot of schools have had their coaches at our spring practice. My coach has told me that they have come by to see me and an offensive lineman teammate of mine. I do like the fact that my recruiting is really picking up."

Which schools have shown you the most interest lately?

"Georgia Tech has shown a lot of interest in me. Coach Spencer and I talk at least once a week. He was just here a week ago and talked with my coach about me. He told him that he is really interested in me as a quarterback. I called him and we talked about Tech and he told me that he and Coach Johnson want me at their camp in early June. He said that offensive players usually get their offers from the camps. I will get to the camp as I have some family in Atlanta. Also Purdue has shown a lot of interest in me."

Sounds like you really like Georgia Tech?

"Yes sir I do. I really wish they would offer right now. I would commit to them as soon as I got the offer. I like the offense they run. I like the fact that the quarterback can run the ball a lot and throw the ball as much too. I like Coach Spencer too. He is a very cool guy and you can relate to him very well. I love the campus and the fact that it is in Atlanta. The fact they play in the ACC is a huge plus too."

What has Coach Spencer mentioned to you about your game?

"He says that he likes that I have very good footwork and quick feet. He says I am super quick at the quarterback position and likes the way I throw the ball too."

How many offers do you have and are there any other schools out there you would like to visit?

"Right now I have only one offer and that is from North Texas State. It is close to home and I like that but if Tech offers I would commit to them. I know my family would like to see me play ball and I think we can work it out if I were to go to Georgia Tech. Other schools that I'd like to see would be Baylor and San Diego State. I might make the camp at Baylor this summer."

What are your measurables?

"I am 6'1" and weigh 210 pounds. I run a 4.53 forty."

Dale’s Take:
Henry was very upbeat when talking about Georgia Tech. He has formed a real good bond with Coach Spencer and really loves everything he has seen and knows about Georgia Tech. He really wants the offer so he can make his commitment.
