Morgan Bailey - Profile
Morgan, how did the camp at Georgia Tech go yesterday?
“It went very well. I meet a lot of people, real good people and enjoyed my time while I was there. I liked it so much that I committed to Georgia Tech.”
So you called Coach Johnson today and told him the news?
“Well, I actually committed last night, but I did talk to Coach Johnson. He was real excited that I went ahead and pulled the trigger and made my commitment. He is very glad I am now a Yellow Jacket. I had about 15 offers but Georgia Tech stood out from all the rest.”
What stood out about Georgia Tech?
“They have great people there that treat you well. I want to surround myself with that type of people and they are building something real special there and I want to be a part of what they are building. Also, it felt like the right place for me. The campus is great and the players there make you feel at home and welcome when you talk to them. I talked with Denzel McCoy some and made some friends that play on the offensive line too.”
What do you like the best about Georgia Tech?
“It comes down to the coaches and players. I really like them as they are ones that really make you feel like a part of a family. That was what really won me over, Tech has a great bunch of coaches and the players really go out of their way to make you feel at home.”
Do you think you will help in recruiting other players to come to Georgia Tech?
“I can and probably will. You always want to surround yourself with people you like and feel comfortable with, so yes I can see myself helping out.”
How about Coach Johnson's policy of not taking official visits to other schools once you commit to Georgia Tech?
“That isn’t a problem at all. I am done with my recruitment. I am a Georgia Tech commitment. It is all Georgia Tech now."
Will you take your official visit to Georgia Tech?
“I’ll sit down with my parents and talk with them about it and call Coach Monken to see when I can set it up.”
Morgan becomes the 7th player to make a commitment to Georgia Tech and the 2nd on the offensive line. He joins Isaiah Johnson and Catlin Alford as players to commit from the elite camp this weekend. You could tell that Morgan was extremely happy with his decision and I know Georgia Tech is as he had 15 offers from across the country.
