The heavily recruited C.J. Uzomah had a quick, on-campus visit on Saturday with Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson.
GoJackets.com spoke with Uzomah recently and nothing has really changed in his recruiting since then, except that he likely won't attend Clemson's Junior Day because of another priority. However, he still will likely give the Tigers an unofficial visit on Sunday the 21st.
C.J. was in Atlanta on Saturday the 13th and was able to get to Georgia Tech's campus and have a quick meeting. He met with head coach Paul Johnson and he also met his recruiting coach, newly-hired recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach Andy McCollum.
"I got to talk with the coaches some. I wasn't able to be there for long because we had something else going on later. But Coach Johnson sat down with us briefly and said he wants us to come back for a whole day. Not even a junior day or practice, he just wants us to come in and sit down and talk and see everything. I definitely intend to do it. My dad works in Atlanta so we're going to take a day and go down there. I think we'll probably go over film, and just sit down and talk."
Uzomah is an athlete that could really play many different positions in college but most schools want him at quarterback, where he is most comfortable playing. Those include Georgia Tech. If and when Georgia Tech decides to offer North Gwinnett's quarterback, they'll certainly have some competition. Uzomah already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, and South Carolina.
