QB Vad Lee stopped by Georgia Tech on Saturday the 24th to finally get a look at the program recruiting him the hardest.

Vad Lee - Profile

North Carolina quarterback prospect Vad Lee holds offers from Duke, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, East Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, and NC State. He says that the Yellow Jackets are recruiting him the hardest and that they had really made him want to get down and visit. On Saturday, Lee finally made it to Atlanta while on his way to Tuscaloosa with his parents and a few teammates for a national 7 on 7 tournament. This gave the Yellow Jackets' staff the chance to further impress Lee. "We got there at 7:30 and were there until about 10 in the morning," he said. "We toured around everything a bit. I got to talk with Coach Paul Johnson. I saw the players and was able to talk with Joshua Nesbitt, too."

Lee mentioned that the talk with Coach Johnson went very well and it was fun for him and his parents. He also was intrigued to talk to Nesbitt. "Coach Johnson was saying how he really liked me as a quarterback and how I would really fit in the offense there," Lee said. "He was also telling me about the campus. Talking with Nesbitt was cool. I really wanted to meet him and see who the leader of this team was. It was good to get his perspective on things, about playing in the offense. He also told me how he gained 25 pounds since he'd been there. So I know I'd gain muscle if I went to Georgia Tech."

Vad says the thought of playing in Paul Johnson's triple option attack doesn't seem like a bad idea. "It wouldn't really be a big deal. I think I can control that offense," he said. "I can run well but I love to pass. I'd rather pass than run. I can definitely see myself in this offense, though. Nesbitt was telling me how he was mainly a passer before running this offense, just like me. He has been successful."

Lee says he'll be back to Georgia Tech next month to really see everything else about Georgia Tech. His summer plans include camps at Georgia Tech, UNC, NC State, and a quarterback college at Duke. "I'm excited about the QB College with Coach Cutcliffe. I know I can learn a lot from him," he said. Lee also wants to see Maryland as they've been on him for a couple months since they've offered. He's already seen every other school that's offered him.

As for a list of schools, Lee said he is close to making a top five soon. It's easy to see who's going to be up there for him, though. "I really don't have a top five right now, but if I did Georgia Tech would be pretty high. I enjoyed my visit there and so did my parents. They're pretty much the top on my list," he said. "UNC and NC State are also schools I'm looking at highly right now. Those three are definitely up there. Duke, too, they were the first school to offer me so I know if I'm comfortable again there after I visit them again. I know South Carolina; they're not really pushing too hard for me."

Look for a decision on a school to come for Vad before his senior season starts. Georgia Tech is sitting in good position to land him as long as they can fend off his home state schools.
