| Blatche was selected by the Washington Wizards with their only pick of the 2005 NBA draft, #49 in the second round.
Completed a fifth year of high school at South Kent Prep in Conn. after the previous four seasons at Henninger High School in Syracuse, N.Y.
Blatche averaged 27.5 points, 16.0 rebounds and 6.0 blocks in 2004-05 as South Kent went 32-9.
Was Co-MVP of the Jordan Classic, scoring a game-high 26 points and grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds in 28 minutes. Also had a double-double at the Roundball Classic (13 points and 14 rebounds).
