Biography:
Infielder who is in his third year with the Georgia Tech program....Spent the last two seasons playing behind Wes Hodges....Has worked primarily at third base, but has also spent practice time at second base....Had a solid fall campaign, showing a very good glove and improvement with the bat while competing for the starting role at third. 2006: Made first career start against East Tennessee State 2/21....Collected his first hit of the season with a pinch-hit three-run homer vs. Clemson 4/16....delivered a single and sacrifice fly at Georgia State (4/19) in his second start....played for Fayetteville Swampdogs of Coastal Plain League during summer. 2005: Went 3-for-9 with three RBI and two walks in 12 games off the bench as a freshman....collected first collegiate hit with an RBI double 3/6 at Duke....played for Keene Swampbats of New England Collegiate Baseball League during summer. High School: A four-year letter-winner at Chattahoochee High School for coach Tim Lemons....Played with the East Cobb Yankees team that won Connie Mack World Series in 2003....Received the rookie of the year award as a freshman, and earned the Cougar Award as a sophomore....Won the MVP, offensive award, and PTSA award (highest GPA on the team) as a junior, and won the outstanding player award as a senior....Named to the all-North Fulton team sophomore, junior, and senior....Hit .388 with seven home runs and 24 RBI as a junior....Ranked among the school's all-time top ten in runs, hits, RBI, home runs and walks....Rated the No. 24 prospect in Georgia and the No. 255 prospect in the nation....Also played two years of football for coach Bill Waters.
