| He is a very intelligent quarterback that makes good decisions and he brings the ability to throw or run if nobody is open on any given play. He does not make many bad decisions and he really knows how to control a huddle, lead a team, and put his players in position to be successful. Not one thing he does on the field will just wow anyone, but he has a solid arm, he has good mobility, and he throws with good accuracy. |

Burns led Carver to an 11-3 record and the Georgia AAA semifinals as a junior throwing for 736 yards and eight touchdowns and while rushing for 363 yards and two more scores.
Was the subject of controversy during the summer before his senior year when he attempted to commit to Georgia but they did not take his commitment. The move created a temporary ban of the University of Georgia coaches from his high school.
Burns: "I think I am a great leader. At the quarterback position you have to be able to motivate the team. I feel like I am good at that. I am more of a dual threat quarterback. I like being able to run the ball like the option plays and the zone read." |
